ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Linda Seelig has been practicing and studying yoga for ~ ten
years, beginning in 2001 while pregnant with her first child. She discovered Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga a year later (from
the World Wide Web). After practicing at home via David Swenson videos for almost a year (living in a small town with
a newborn), she was able to venture out and study with some of the first Americans to learn this system: David Williams, David
Swenson, and Tim Miller to highlight a few. She was also fortunate enough to practice under the guidance of Ashtanga
yoga guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath for two weeks during their 2005 World Tour in Encinitas, CA.
She attends workshops regularly from different lineages of yoga to understand other approaches as well.
Linda has her B.S. in Biology, and used to work in
Cell Biology research until getting married. Now she is a mommy with two boys, ages 9 and 6, a yoga instructor,
and a student once again. She is interested in Yoga Research, particularly the neurophysiology of the brain and body under
the influence of yoga, music and meditation. Also, integrating yoga with Physical Therapy, and helping to bridge
the gap between the yoga and scientific community.
She is a 200 hr RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga
Alliance, in Hatha/Vinyasa yoga.

Over the years she has
been writing; from poems, to song lyrics, to articles and book ideas, and she is now currently working on completing
two children's books. Thankful for her first journey to India in the summer of 2010, this rich source
of inspiration is continually feeding her writing...and her life.
